Archiving and Preservation Policy

MedInnovations Journal is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content.

The journal uses digital preservation mechanisms provided by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, including the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), where applicable. The PKP Preservation Network provides preservation services for journals using OJS and supports long-term access to published scholarly content.

The journal may also participate in LOCKSS-based preservation systems, which allow libraries and preservation networks to create distributed, permanent archives of published content.

All published articles remain permanently available on the journal website. Each article is assigned a persistent DOI, which supports long-term identification, citation, and access.

The journal regularly maintains backup copies of its published content and metadata to ensure continued availability in the event of technical issues, platform migration, or website restructuring.

If the journal website becomes unavailable, archived copies of published articles and metadata may be restored from the journal’s preservation systems and internal backups.

The journal supports long-term digital preservation of the version of record of all published articles.
